In his new role, Emil will focus on shaping and defining the future of economic development in North Carolina by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization in emerging technologies. He aims to develop strategic collaborations with corporate, government, and non-profit partners to create high-impact, high-value partnerships that promote equitable and sustainable communities.
Emil's impressive background includes serving as Director of Programs at First Flight Venture Center, where he designed and implemented programs to support science and technology startups. During his tenure, he launched the Propeller Early-Stage Accelerator and the Wheels UP Accelerator, which helped over 2,500 companies globally by providing education, mentorship, and access to funding opportunities.
Re-envisioning the Next Accelerator Model
At Launch Chapel Hill, Emil is committed to reimagining the traditional accelerator model to better serve the evolving needs of startups and entrepreneurs. His vision includes integrating cutting-edge methodologies and tools, such as AI-driven insights and data analytics, to customize support for founders at various stages of their journey.
